Christopher
I am a high school teacher specializing in geography and environmental science, as well as a counselor and secondary cross-country coach. I hold a certificate in Coaching the Endurance Events from ALTIS.
My running journey began in elementary school cross-country, where I discovered a passion that complemented my love for soccer and hockey throughout high school. It wasn't until my early thirties, after a career in international Ultimate, that I embraced distance running—particularly on trails—as a vital means to enhance my physical and mental well-being.
I've had the privilege of racing in various locations across Canada and the USA, and I consider my hiking adventures—such as the Tour du Mont Blanc, Laugavegur, Dingle Peninsula, and the Scottish Highlands—as formative experiences that enrich my coaching practice.
I currently serve as Board Chair of Run for Life Inc., a non-profit organization based in Whitehorse, Yukon, dedicated to offering accessible fitness programs that align with several UN Sustainable Development Goals.
I look forward to guiding athletes in achieving their performance goals while fostering a deeper connection with the great outdoors. Together, we will explore the transformative power of nature in our running journeys.
