Hustle & Flow
Christopher

I am a high school Teacher (geography, environmental science) and Counsellor who also coaches secondary cross-country. I hold a certificate in Coaching the Endurance Events from ALTIS.

My background in running reaches back to elementary school cross-country, which I found as a compelling compliment to playing soccer and hockey through high school. It wasn’t until my early-30’s, following a career in international Ultimate, that I found distance running (especially on trails) as a mainstay to improve my physical and mental health.

In addition to having raced in locations across Canada and the USA, I count a variety of hiking treks as important experiences in nature that also inform my coaching (Tour du Mont Blanc, Laugavegur, the Scottish Highlands, and many others).

I am a current board member for Run for Life Inc., a non-profit organization based in Whitehorse (Yukon) that aims to provide accessible fitness programs to diverse audiences in keeping with several UN Sustainable Development Goals.

I look forward to guiding athletes towards their performance goals while nudging them closer to an enhanced relationship with the outdoors.
